The Framework for Learning is the blueprint on which essential elements of learning and teaching in Manitoba are organized. The Framework creates one access point for educators to find curriculum and curriculum implementation resources, and to access policy and resources related to assessment, evaluation, and reporting for the English, Français, French Immersion, and Senior Technology Education programs.
Creating a Culture: provides strategies and pedagogical approaches enabling each competency to flourish.
Reflective Questions for Teachers: supports educators in strengthening their capacity within each competency.
Misconceptions and Partial Understandings: helps educators build a deeper awareness of each competency’s meaning.
Stories of Practice: inspires the design of learning experiences that support each competency.
The Deployment Chart is a chart organized by divisional priorities and grade levels. It indicates the navigator/contact person of the projects and/or initiatives. Divisional priorities are Literacy, Numeracy, Engagement and Indigenous Knowledge. All plans are data driven.
Divisional Priorities filled in with dark colours are those tasks expected to be consistently followed throughout the division. Tasks filled in with light colours may be piloted or explored and are listed as developmental. The Developmental tasks may progress to be consistently expected throughout the division.
New this year, linked within the Deployment Chart is a list of Numeracy and Literacy Assessments with the dates they are to be completed. These Divisional assessments are organized by month and grade.
